ASPHALT DRIVEWAYS
WHAT IS ASPHALT?
Asphalt is made up of small rock, sand and bitumen. As the asphalt is paved, the bitumen changes from a liquid to a solid, binding the materials into a hard surface.
The appearance of asphalt combined with its durable qualities makes asphalt a great surfacing option.

ASPHALT PAVING PROCESS
Preparing an asphalt surface starts with building a strong foundation. To build a strong foundation we will remove any excess soil, spread and level a layer of crushed rock and finally compact the crushed rock.
Once the foundation is in, asphalt can be paved on top. The paving process involves spreading and compacting the asphalt into a solid surface.
